Current Awareness Service


Bulletin Board Display 

Current events, lists of newly acquired books, and information regarding library activities for information updates of the library clientele are posted on the bulletin board.

Library Newsletter.

The library newsletter contains library activities, new acquisitions, news items on the library and other materials of interest to the University community. It is published twice yearly in both print and electronic format.

Social media account

The library maintains Facebook account (CLSU Library). It is updated regularly.             

Library Orientation

This is intended for the First Year students. The objective of the program is to welcome and to introduce to them the available information sources, facilities and services that the CLSU Library can offer.

Readers Services

Handle the operations of all the services and facilities that concern the information needs of CLSU faculty and students and other patrons.


This is for currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff who want to do research in other libraries and avail library materials which are not available at the CLSU Library.


The photocopying service is available from 8:00 a.m. – 5:45 p.m. Students who need ordinary photo copies are allowed to photocopy library materials outside the Library for 30 minutes, except for some restricted material/s that are for room use only.  After 30 minutes a fine of Php10.00 per hour will be charged. 

Wi-Fi Network

The Wi-Fi is open to all library users, the password is posted at the reading areas. Home Bro and ISI = 30 students at a time per ISP for 30 minutes after which they need to sign in again.

Discussion Room

The discussion room is on a first come first serve basis. It is fully air conditioned and amenities include white board, tables, and chairs.

Internet Access

Internet access is available at the Multi-media section. There are 10 computers which the students can use to surf the internet and access the electronic resources.

Quiet Area

This area is for those who are serious readers.

Reading Room

Students can read and study in these areas. It is available at the following:
  • Reference Section
  • Serials Section
  • General collection Section
  • Reserve Section
  • Filipiniana and Theses and Dissertation Section


Only those researches downloaded from the University Library’s e-resources collection or researches and assignments encoded at the Multi-media section will be accommodated and a maximum of 25 pages per day, per student is allowed. Printing is done via self-service.


Bibliography of the different major subject per course is available upon request.

Library Security and barcode

University Library materials have barcode which can be read by the barcode scanner of the Library System for easy identification. The security gate uses magnetic strip to detect if the book is properly checked out at the library system before it leaves the Library premises.
